So be it...

time to catch up…

So I decided it was time to update this… I have not been on here in forever! So much has happened in our lives since my last post. This last year has been a year of a lifetime, lets just put it that way. As I get into all that I thought it would be fun to read my old posts and give little updates based on what I see. So here we go.

  • In-and-Out lines are still ridiculous and I still complain about it even as recently as July 9th.
  • We no longer have Schruter (our puppy) and Sega (our cat). We are now animal free and loving it! Well at least I am. So this is my Beautiful Family now.

My beautiful wife Kayce and my son Bauer.

  • I still play halo, we had haloween last year and will probably do it again this year.
  • I still like 24 and am sad that its over.
  • I’m also sad that lost is over. Kayce finally gave in and caught up so we could  watch the end of season 5 and all of season 6 together.
  • Bauer’s room, sadly, doesn’t look like it once did

Bauer Mark Smith was born on October 8th (You can read my wife’s blog if you want to know his weight and length at birth) - she needs to update her blog too! It has a christmas song playing on it haha!

Bauer is now 9 months old and is in a really fun stage in life. He loves playing with his toys, cuddling up with us when he’s tired, and he LOVES to eat! We still have yet to find something that he wont eat. He’s a happy baby and so far has been obedient. We’ve been blessed with a great sleeper who’s been sleeping through the night since he was about 8 weeks old. Unless my memory fails me…

Back in March we moved into a new house, another blessing in our lives. We are now living in Ahwatukee right at the base of South Mountain. There is literally a trail up the mountain two house down. It’s a great little one story with a backyard for B to play in and a fireplace, although we wont be taking advantage of that again until winter. So far its been a fun place to live.

We took B on his first vacation at the end of May. We went and visited Kayce’s family in South Carolina and then we all drove down to florida for a couple of days. One of the days down in florida we spent at Universal Studios. Bauer loved his first ride - Dr Suess’ Cat in the Hat

He also rode the carousel a couple times,

He really did like it, even tho you can’t tell from those pictures.

After coming home from vacation I had a busy month at church. The first week of June we went to Point Loma for our Student Ministry Summer Camp, which went great. The next week we switched our phones and internet over to a new system. So that made for a crazy week, but didn’t effect me too much, I stayed busy getting ready for Blast Extreme which was the week that followed. Blast Extreme, East Valley’s version of VBS, was truly a Blast not only for the kids but for us guys running tech. We had bubble machines, confetti cannons, flashing eyes, sound fx, songs, just a good time. Even Bauer had fun before he had to go to the nursery!

That brings us to July… the highlights so far? Kayce got me an Iphone 4! Besides that preparing for next week. Kayce is taking a trip to New York City with her mom, grandma, and sister. Leaving me and Bauer to hold down the fort! We’re going to have a great time and I’m sure I’ll have a lot to post after that. I might even try and paint Bauer’s new room.
